This Saturday is C&C Ballroom Dance’s ALS Salsa Social!

Please come out for a fun filled night of Latin dancing and cocktails. There is no fee to join us for this event. However we are collecting donations for ALS. We suggest a minimum donation of $5 for students and $10 for non-students.

C&C Ballroom Dance has always been fond of supporting great causes. We’ve supported Multiple Sclerosis, police departments, and multiple children’s organizations. It’s only suiting that we also accept the “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge”.

How it works!

For every $5 you donate to this amazing cause we will give you a raffle ticket. You can then place your raffle tickets into any teachers designated ticket cup. On Saturday, September 13th during our Salsa Social we will draw tickets from each teacher’s cup. The lucky owner of that ticket will then be presented with three options.

1) Dump the ice-water on the teacher.
2) Donate additional funds to save the teacher from the chill.
3) Donate additional funds to dump the bucket on ANY teacher of your choosing.

What is ALS? Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord, resulting in progressive degeneration of the motor neurons. When the motor neurons die, the brains ability to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed prior to death.
